  • Sara Dalcher. Sara writes, As Chief Info Officer for USIS, I think this was one of my father's proudest memories of his stint in Delhi. He wanted to show the American election experience and got EVERYONE involved: USIS wives were in the Comm Room taking notes on the returns, selected AIS students were running the results out to the huge shamiyana w/ large-scale map & Fitzhugh Turner (equipped w/ binoculars 'cuz he was so far from the map) announced updated results as they were posted in each block. AIS let us out of school to attend the event, which was gratifyingly swarmed by the locals. I remember this event EVERY time I vote. Thanks for sharing these photos, Tim!
