Tim Brown > At right is Koko, Mandara's next youngest offspring, now seven years old. Koko is sometimes affectionate to, sometimes jealous of, his new baby sister. Sound familiar?

Tim Brown > Billie Jean, a young female Spectacled Bear, came to the National Zoo in February, 2009.
Tim Brown > Haloko, at left, is probably more than 40 years old, and is the senior member of the group. The baby, clinging to her mother's back, has not yet been named by the humans. Mandara could tell us her baby's  gorilla name but we wouldn't be able to pronounce it.
